The secret to the deep, refreshing, and savory taste of Omogary Kimchi Stew lies in the cooking methods passed down from ancestors, the dedication of the descendants who personally prepare the food to inherit these recipes, and the use of natural seasonings to create the flavor, while insisting on using only the finest ingredients, starting with the aged kimchi (wintering anti-cancer cabbage grown only in Haenam and Jindo exposed to sea breezes and snow, Chujado anchovy paste, Gwangcheon cave-aged shrimp paste, and Sinan first salt after rain that has been aged for over 3 years).
The word "Omogary" originated from "Omogary-tang," a freshwater fish and aged kimchi soup with a long history in the Jeolla region, and its etymology refers to an earthenware pot.
When many guests visited the head family's house, we would hang a cast-iron pot, boil water, take out aged kimchi that had been fermented for many years, slice it thinly, and add it along with pork and various seasonings. When served in an earthenware pot full of it, it was a dish that was perfect as a simple snack to accompany drinks with just a few pieces of meat, and with its ample broth, it was excellent as both a soup and a stew.
We started a store business with this food under the name "Omogary Kimchi Stew" and are loved as a specialty restaurant for aged kimchi and aged kimchi dishes.
We are currently producing and selling consumer-grade Omogary Kimchi Stew (500g) online at our HACCP-certified factory using the exact same secret recipe, and we plan to launch various meal kit products using our patented Omogary Kimchi Stew sauce. We intend to make our Omogary product line available for convenient consumption anytime, anywhere, not just in stores.
